Hello! We are Gretchen and Tobias (Toby).  We have been married now for almost 13 years.  We live in Eastern Washington State in a house that we love, in a fantastic family neighborhood.  We have always wanted to build a strong family unit and believe that time is a very precious gift.  We prioritize spending our time building lasting relationships and creating beautiful experiences as these are the most important things in life for us. 

Six years ago, we were blessed to have a beautiful baby girl and we intended to have another child soon after.  But as life often does, things worked out a little differently than we planned. We had always talked about adoption as something that we would want in our future.  And now, as a family of three, we are ready to expand our family with an adopted child and can’t wait to love and nurture another little one for the rest of our lives! 

Our daughter Lea is 6 years old and she is quite smart and has a very adventurous spirit and kind heart.  She has wanted to have a sibling for years.  When we first talked with Lea about adopting a baby, she was so excited she wrote a letter to the baby on why she would be a great big sister!  Lea loves animals, drawing, and playing with her cousins. She helps take care of our two dogs, Mack and Bolt. She has maintained her enthusiasm through this entire process and will welcome any child with open arms and a whole lot of love.

Your child will be loved unconditionally and become a part of a loving family and extended family.  We will strive to keep him or her happy and safe and challenge them enough to grow into a kind, thoughtful, and productive adult.  They will be encouraged their whole life to help others, stay positive, be respectful, and to always be their very best.
